TWYA was created from a conviction that young people — especially girls — deserve more than encouragement from a distance. They need people, spaces and experiences that help them understand purpose, build confidence, practise life skills and see wider possibilities for themselves.
Our work is girl-focused while recognising that healthy communities include families, boys, men, women, schools, volunteers and partners. We therefore create programmes that centre girls' development while building a wider culture of support around them.
TWYA's volunteers and supporters are central to this work. Through mentoring, activities, wellbeing conversations, leadership opportunities and programmes such as Radiant Roots, we aim to help young people develop skills they can use now — not only someday in the future.
